Church Orphans Ministry Alliances

	The C.A.L.L. (Children of Arkansas Loved for a Lifetime) TheCallInArkansas.org 501.823.0607 Who can participate: Any Arkansas church that shares a common desire to see all Arkansas foster children in great placements and to see no more children waiting for adoption in the state. The C.A.L.L. is a unique collaboration between the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services and area Christian churches. During Sunday services, foster and adoptive families are recruited, with informational meetings that follow. Families are walked through the process of becoming trained and certified to foster, adopt, or provide respite care. State-required training is offered in a convenient, two-weekend condensed class by Christian volunteers. The C.A.L.L. also educates churches on ways to support adoptive and foster families.
	Dallas/Ft. Worth Alliance of Adoption and Orphan Care Ministries DFWAlliance.org 972.315.9628 Who can participate: The Alliance was organized in early 2006 to bring together local church adoption and orphan care ministries from various Christian churches in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The Alliance seeks to provide area ministries and church leaders with opportunities to share ideas and coordinate and collaborate on events and activities to serve adoptive and foster families as well as orphans, at-risk children and children in the local foster care system. It is also focused on efforts to raise up and support effective local church adoption, foster care and orphan care ministries – across the Dallas/Fort Worth area and beyond.
	Project 1.27 Project127.com 303.256.1225 Who can participate: Colorado churches who are interested in joining our ministry to provide (and support) adoptive families for every waiting child in Colorado’s Foster Care System. We work with Colorado residents, and while our office is located in the metro area, we have held meetings and training as far north as Greeley, and as far south as Colorado Springs. Project 1.27 provides: 1) An advocate when working with Colorado’s Child Welfare Agencies. 2) Administrative support and streamlining of adoption paperwork. 2) Christian-based and State-certified parent training 3) Guidance to build adoption ministries and support groups in churches. 4) Training for friends and family. 5) Connections to other Christian support resources. Project 1.27 is a statewide initiative working successfully to empty the pool of waiting children in Colorado foster care by the year 2014.

The Orphan Care Initiative is a church-to-church effort with every local church around the world. Churches can contact Saddleback directly via phone or email at orphans@saddleback.net to join this Initiative. A key part of the Saddleback P.E.A.C.E. Plan, the Orphan Care Initiative focuses its domestic and global efforts to engage every person in any church to care for orphans. Founded on the belief that local churches and families are essential to long term sustainable solutions that are not just church based but church initiated, we also support families in all elements of the adoption process and offer tools to assist local churches in their orphan care effort
